i’m thrilled to finally be introducing my pet project, a 1956 airstream travel trailer, to the blog. this particular model is aptly named “the flying cloud”. i look forward to posting updates on the restoration progress.

Just signed up to your mailing list mostly for your architecture ideas but also as a fellow Airstream nut.
We restored my 62′ mostly on our own with some cabinetry and upholstery by pros. It has been everywhere since restoration and has a long way to go. Last year it won “Best of Show” at the 1st Vintage Trailer Jam. That’s after 50k miles of travel so it is no show queen for sure.
Thanks for sharing your ideas on your website. I can tell by your other projects that the Airstream is going to come out great. Looking forward to following the progress.

thanks for checking this out and it’s always great to hear from a fellow airstreamer, and eastcoaster. i grew up in NH and we used to vacation in maine every year in a place called hermit island, in the bath area i believe. ah, i can’t wait for the day to say we’ve logged 50K miles in the airstream. congratulations on “best of show” and look forward to hearing from you in the future.
