mckinley is located near the canals in venice, california. although permitted as a second story remodel, mckinley is, essentially, a new two story modern home. the clients really enjoy color and wanted a warm and inviting modern home. we used wood for the doors and windows, as well as the exposed ceiling beams on the first floor, which brings in a nice richness to the interior living spaces. the clients’ choice of color pallete, which includes a combination of yellow, orange, green, red, and blue, creates an artsy, lively, and uniquely venice interior.
