westbourne is an existing two story home that we have completely redesigned inside and out to qualify for the leed for homes program. a major remodel that is currently under construction, the interior has been stripped down to the studs to allow us to completely open the floor plan and properly insulate the building envelope. we’ve installed a system of full height sliding doors that fully open up to allow the interior spill into the backyard and pool area. a photovoltaic electrical system was previously installed and we have supplemented with a solar hot water plumbing system as well as high efficiency mechanical equipment and a new ”cool roof”. we’ll be installing formaldehyde free cabinetry as well as using low/no voc paints. this project is designed and constructed by our office which allows for a smooth process for our clients as well as a truly environmentally friendly and energy efficient home.
